WHAT TO DO:
Make pinwheels as a family and sell them to friends and family in your neighborhood, etc as a way to raise money for Iraqi children in desperate need of heart surgery. We suggest $5-10.
THE JUSTIFICATION:
All parents want their kids to grow up healthy. But they usually want more than just that—they also want their kids to grow up to be the kinds of people who contribute in real ways to a healthy community, a healthy culture and a healthy world.
The challenges to safety and stability in our world are as real as they have ever been, but the opportunities a family has to make a tangible difference by loving preemptively are greater than ever before.
Pinwheels is a PLC attempt to serve moms and dads who want to raise children who care about the world beyond their city limits and engage in making the world a better place through a love that knows no borders. While teaching your kids about the challenges facing kids and families like yours in Iraq, you will help them to understand how they can make a significant difference in the lives of people a world away through a simple act of preemptive love. Not only that, you can help your children become advocates for those who don’t have a voice as they recruit others to join them in their generous compassion to Iraqi kids.
