Volunteer Shop Intern

Preemptive Love Coalition (PLC) is a global peacemaking movement working to heal hearts across enemy lines. We do this primarily by working in polarizing conflict zones, providing emergency aid to families persecuted by terrorism and violence, lifesaving medical care, and economic opportunities for displaced families.

Location: Clarkston, GA 

Duration: September 1 – December 31, 2019 (potential to extend duration of internship) and again in February 1 – May 31, 2020 (potential to extend duration of internship) 

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule and execute product shoots for lifestyle and still images to be used on our website, social media, and email campaigns
  • Upload and tag/categorize photos
  • Create assets for design and marketing, working with the shop team to create and execute campaigns
  • Assist in shop and warehouse fulfillment needs as requested 
  • Must be able to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours a week

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in higher education and able to receive college credit
  • Results oriented with proven track record of detail orientation, organization, and taking initiative
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and creatively 
  • Outstanding written communication skills, confident in proofing content 
  • Able to work well under pressure and within given time frames 
  • Growth mindset with the ability to take on new challenges and think outside of conventional solutions to solve problems creatively
  • Ability to take and give direction confidently 
  • Effective marketing skills and experience 
  • Proficiency in software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comfortable working with both MAC and PC 
  • Experience shooting with SLR or DSLR cameras, both in the studio and outdoors
  • Experience editing and retouching photos 
  • Willingness and excitement to learn


  • Receive weekly breakout sessions about eCommerce and marketing strategies, nonprofit professional development
  • Participation in the company Slack and weekly staff calls
  • Letters of recommendation are available for interns who successfully complete the internship and demonstrate excellent care to our donors
