Nos interesa apoyar a Preemptive Love Coalition por dos motivos. Primero porque no queremos mantenernos más indiferentes o inactivos frente a lo que esta sucediendo en el mundo. Sabemos y creemos que todos somos iguales y que ningún país, cultura o género es mejor que otro. Es muy fácil vivir de este lado del mundo y ni siquiera pensar sobre la gravedad y la urgencia de la gente sufriendo en otros países. Hay que responder a el sufrimiento de nuestros pares. Es fácil no reaccionar, pero es inhumano literalmente haver nada.
En segundo lugar decidimos apoyar a Preemptive Love por su trabajo integral con todas las poblaciones. Además de su diversidad en las maneras de apoyarlas, sobre todo valoramos y apreciamos su visión de sustentabilidad. Esto es que la organización se propone dar herramientas y capacitar gente local para que ellos mismos sean los que lleven adelante sus familias, emprendimientos, escuelas y hospitales. Aquí no se trata de dominar o aprovechar las poblaciones necesitadas, sino de darles las herramientas para que puedan mantenerse y educar a sus hijos. Cada refugiado tiene el poder, la capacidad, y la habilidad para reclamar su vida y tener un mejor futuro.
We are interested in supporting Preemptive Love for two reasons. First because we do not want to remain indifferent or inactive to what is happening in the world. We know and believe that we are all the same and no country, culture, or gender is better than the other. Its easy to so live on this side of the world and not even think about the gravity and urgency of the suffering that others feel on the other side of the world. We have to respond to the suffering of our peers. Its easy to not react, but its literally inhumane to do nothing.
Secondly, we decided to support Preemptive Love for their diverse projects serving all peoples from any background and also the many different areas in which they work like health, education, economy. But mostly we really believe in sustainability and that’s what Preemptive Love does, they give local people the tools they need to raise their own families and educate their own children. It is not about dominating or taking advantage of people in need. It’s about empowering the people to reclaim their lives and rebuild their future. Each refugee has the power, the capacity, and the ability to rebuild their own future.
