Cody’s life has been centered around developing communities around him, starting with the community in Southern California where he grew up. After graduating from college in the Midwest, he immediately moved back to California where he began investing in and mentoring local youth. His influence began to expand to the streets of Santa Barbara where he immersed himself and others in the forgotten culture and lives of those living on the streets while teaching them how to effectively come alongside others and walk with them towards multi-dimensional reconciliation. Cody’s passion for empowering others began to lead him all over the world and in 2007 it put him in northern Iraq where he began to spearhead projects for an NGO that had helped rebuild Kurdistan and Iraq since 1991. PLC is one of the results of his growing passion for those around him and his desire to see them empowered to go out and empower others.
