The only bad failure is the one from which we fail to learn.

We still cling to this idea, even when—and especially when—some failures seem too hard, too painful, or too confusing to not be considered “bad.”

In part 1 and part 2, we told you the overarching “failure” our staff experienced this past year. And even though this story is far from finished, and we still wrestle with questions about what preemptive love looks like in the middle of it, and what we might have done differently, we want you to know what we’ve learned so far.
