Remember this girl?

Just a couple days ago she was carried into the OR with a life-threatening heart defect. Now she gets to lace up and strut out of the ICU in her florescent, I’m-faster-than-you kicks.

Zainab is going to spend the next several days recovering in the ward, but she is thankful to be free from the monitors, wires, and IVs in the ICU. She is now one step closer to being fully healed and care-free, the way all 3-year-old girls should be.

With no heart defect to hold her back, the only thing she’ll have to slow down for will be her friends when she outruns them in her new shoes!

Continue to follow Zainab’s story through her recovery, and as you follow her story, share it with those around you.

More to come…
