Purpose

Preemptive Love’s Summer Internship aims to provide an opportunity for college students and recent graduates to learn and make tangible contributions to ending war. Through this immersive experience, interns will learn about cross-cultural living, humanitarian service, peacemaking, and our work as a non-governmental organization. Valued as essential partners to Preemptive Love, interns will be given tasks that genuinely add to our work. Interns will be challenged to grow and develop professionally, press into pain, and show transformational love in a culture different than their own. Interns will contribute to their own experience to make it enlightening and valuable, while not shying away from the confusing, frustrating, and sometimes overwhelming challenges they will face. In short, our goal for our summer interns is to experience life in Iraq in its fullest as we show up daily and love anyway.
