This restaurant was very busy, but our teammate told us, “the kebab in this place was DELISH.”

A cook cuts the meat and skewers it on the kebab. You add your own vegetables, then cook it yourself over the fire. There’s also fresh-baked naan (flatbread) and fragrant chai drinks.

Outside, under a bright blue sky, snow-dusted mountains flank the city.

We wish you all could experience Iraqi hospitality in person, but for now, you’ll have to imagine the great smells and tastes from the kebab restaurant.
