Hi, friends! I’m Nicole Devereaux, and I’m celebrating my 40th birthday (July 14) by raising $40,000 to give away to organizations that inspire me. I’m supporting Preemptive Love because I believe strongly in their mission to love across enemy lines and go where others are running away. Preemptive Love inspires me to wage peace on the front lines!

You may be wondering why I’m trying to raise so much money at this time. About a year ago, I went through a dark moment in my life where I felt like I was losing love and being abandoned. But during that moment of darkness and uncertainty, I realized that I had to hold onto something that was true. I knew for certain that I wanted to give. Every year, I came up with some sort of excuse to stop myself from giving, but then I realized that there should never be an excuse to prevent yourself from giving love to others. So I decided this year I am going to start an awesome journey to build a community of people who want to do good!

Alongside Preemptive Love, I plan on raising the funds needed to maintain the Friendly Center, a safe space for refugee children whose families have fled to northern Iraq. As a mother, I understand how important it is for children to have a place where they can grow and feel safe, free, and loved. Please join me on my journey of celebrating life by giving life to these children who need the safety and love of the Friendly Center.
