Sophie is a senior at North Carolina State University, studying Business Entrepreneurship, Nonprofits, and Middle Eastern Studies. Through her involvement with Raleigh’s refugee community and justice organizations like International Justice Mission, she’s developed a desire to leverage innovation, excellence, and empathy to help cultivate organizations that flourish & impact their communities for good. In her spare time, she enjoys coffee-shop hopping, day-tripping to new places, and watching too many documentaries with her housemates.

Preemptive Love’s message of unmaking violence through preemptive love captivated Sophie in high school. Following along with their content & activity has deeply transformed her approach to the work of justice, relationships in her community, and desire to see the world become the more beautiful community our hearts know is possible. Sophie is beyond thrilled to join the team this summer as their office intern, where she’ll be using her skills in administration and efficiency to help our staff achieve their greatest potential. This will include many unique opportunities to work with Preemptive Love’s Programs team, alongside our Internship Coordinator, and simply rising to the occasion when there is a way for her to help our office run more smoothly.
