Please join The VISION Collective and Preemptive Love for an evening of music and stories in support of COVID relief efforts in refugee contexts. All proceeds from this event will go to Preemptive Love, helping them to continue to provide food, medical care, and jobs to refugee populations during the pandemic.
You can sign up to join us October 24th at 7 PM EDT for our online concert on Youtube.
About The VISION Collective
The VISION Collective was founded in 2018 at The Juilliard School by Executive Director and cellist Drake Driscoll, Program Coordinator and violist Sarah Sung, and violinist Timothy Chooi. The collective’s mission is to build meaningful relationships with and among refugees and new Americans by sharing and exchanging music between diverse communities.
About Preemptive Love
Millions of lives have been devastated by war. In Syria, Iraq, and around the world. But the world keeps trying the same failed solutions to war – fighting fire with fire, going to war to prevent war. There’s another way. We serve on the frontlines of conflict: mending the wounds of the war, while working to stop the next one before it starts.
WHAT WE DO
Relief – We stop the spread of war by responding fast on the frontlines.
Jobs – We reduce the risk of recruitment into violence by increasing income.
Community – Through relationship and education, we change the ideas that lead to war.
