Ibo and Sarah are joining Preemptive Love in helping families that are forced to flee their homes in Northern Syria. We are friends who met in Germany. Sarah chose to live there for a year, but Ibo was forced to flee his hometown of Qamishli, Syria, to seek safety. That was almost four years ago. But the violence has not stopped. Thousands of Syrians, including Ibo’s friends and family, are being displaced as Turkish bombs continue to fall.
Winter is coming to northern Syria. Temperatures are dropping into the 30s, and thousands are still displaced, many of them children. Right now, they’re sleeping in unheated, abandoned buildings. Preemptive Love is on the ground working to bring them winter survival kits to help keep these families warm.
$40 can help provide one winter survival kit. Many of the items in each kit are made by Syrian refugees, which include socks, hats, and scarves. Everything is purchased locally to strengthen nearby communities while serving the most vulnerable.
